Hello, chickens. WWN will be announcing it soon but I wanted to be the one to tell you. My show will be suspended indefinitely. It has been a nice, but instead of continuing on for the rest of the season I feel it's best to turn my time and attention to my charity. Maybe one day I'll change my mind but don't count on it. I'm sure by now everyone has heard the news. I'd like to join the chorus in thanking and congratulating the DMLE members who continue risk their lives for our sake. I have started a bit of a baking spree as a token of my appreciation and couldn't help but think that more hands means more food. If anyone would like to join me, I'd appreciate the help.

The human ability to give and care for complete strangers will never stop amazing me. No matter how incredible it is, I also remember how quick we are to forget. Tragedy strikes and we band together, only for help and drive to fade away within a few weeks. It’s understandable. We did or part, we need to go back to our own lives and focus on our own problems. Understandable, but we can do more. We can remember that after the headlines pass there are people still in need.
When you are buying your groceries you can pick up an extra can of food for a family that is hungry. You could skip out on buying one cup of coffee to help buy clothes for a family that lost everything. Need doesn’t disappear, merely interest. Whatever your beliefs, there is a charity out there that could use your support. Don’t forget them.

St. Patrick's Day is nice and all but I am of the firm belief that every day is a good day for a drink. In moderation, kiddos, you wouldn't want to be seen as sloppy. I realize I'm getting a bit ahead of myself but I am already searching for the perfect summer cocktail. Getting a tan might be impossible at the moment, but I can still pretend I'm laying out in the sun.

The time has come for me to get a year older and hopefully a year wiser. I know some people commit to New Year's resolutions, but I have always been a birthday resolution kind of girl. Last year I set out to feed 25 families every day and 50 families every weekend through the kitchen. I also wanted to start writing a book. I'm happy to report that 23 was a mostly successful year. Here's hoping 24 can be just as fruitful. I seek to finish my book and to get the kitchen feeding 50 families everyday and 100 families on the weekends. It will be hard, but not impossible. If anyone has any time to spare for those less fortunate volunteers are always welcome.
Finally, as always, I seek a stronger alcohol tolerance. That mission begins tonight. Stay safe, chickens!
